12.12.12

It sure has been a while since I've posted. I figured I better post about my mom's wedding since that's a pretty important day.... don't ya think? It was a bitter cold, yet beautiful winter day.  It reminded me somewhat of my wedding only two years earlier on 12.11.10.  Winter weddings are the best! The day started bright and early at the Bountiful Temple where my mom and Shon were married for time.  The sealer couldn't have said more profound and inspired words to them. After the wedding it was picture time... which once again was freezing.  But they got some great shots!  The photographer was amazing and such a trooper, super cute girl. After the pictures we headed on over to eat lunch at the Eldredge Manor in Bountiful for a luncheon of turkey, potatoes and some vegetables served with an amazing dessert of cheese cake!  Yum! The open house ended off the night at the Bountiful Arts Center which had a huge array of fancy cakes from the L...

October in a flash!

Image
Okay, so I've been absolutely horrendously terrible at posting on my blog.  I blame that on school, work, young women calling, being a wife and just trying to live a happy, productive life!  The news of the year is that my dear mother is engaged and getting married 12.12.12... I think she's trying to copy me on the cool dates since Justin & I got married 12.11.10!!!  I am so happy that she has found someone that can make her happy again and hope the best for her! Since I don't want to try to make up my blog from May until now, I am just going to tell about our October shenanigans. :) Here goes..... On October 4th, we were able to go to the U of U football game against USC and it was a blast!  I always love getting to spend some time with my boy and especially because he is obsessed with football.  I'm still trying to get him to be as obsessed with the U of U football team, still not quite there, but we're getting closer :) Of course, don't let me...

Crohn's 5k

Hey Family & Friends- I hope this message finds you all happy and doing well! I am writing this message because there is a "Wiping out Crohn's & Collitis 5k" on June 16th in Draper, Utah. All the money used to sign up for the race goes directly to research the disease that my dad struggled with for years. This is a huge deal to our family and we hope we can get a lot of people to come and support this cause. It is $35 a person and starts at 8 a.m. We will also be ordering some shirts to wear in honor of my dad, Brad that will say his nickname "Duke" and the #4. If you would like to run the race and want a shirt, or just want a shirt just because they will be $5 and we would need to know if you wanted one by the 5th of June. Also, if you could pass along the word to any family or friends that I may have missed that would like to also support... that would be awesome! I really do love and appreciate you all and hope to see you soon...

Gardner Village

I was able to go to Gardner Village with my mom and our dear friends the Corry's. I truly love that family and am happy I was able to spend time with them. We have been friends and neighbors with them for probably 20 years! We shopped, ate, laughed and talked!

Greatest Friends

I do believe I have some of the greatest friends out there. I am so excited for Amanda and her new baby GIRL due July 3rd. It was fun to go to her baby shower but I missed Tori & Andee. Congrats Amanda, you'll be the greatest mom!

My cute cousin Mariah got married to Rob Hopkins on April 27th. It was a beautiful day spent with family. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple and I am so proud of her for choosing to get married there. The ceremony was amazing, the luncheon was to die for and it was just an all around great day. She looked beautiful and you could tell Rob felt like the luckiest man alive. So happy for you two! :) Justin & I Grandma Wootton, Chan & Mom Uncle Mark, Aunt Robyn and Uncle Jason Parents of the bride! Isn't she beautiful? Dorky Brady and Jason The beautiful happy couple!

Horse Ride in the Mountains

Image
I had a wonderful time going on a horseback ride with my wonderful in-laws. While Justin was working I decided to take them up on the invite to get a horse back ride in. This is one reason I have loved being married into this family! I love horses, plus I love the mountains and the sunshine so it made it super enjoyable. Carson & Dallin were also able to go and we got to roast some hot dogs around a little fire at the top. It was an amazing day.
