Greatest Friends

Image
I do believe I have some of the greatest friends out there. I am so excited for Amanda and her new baby GIRL due July 3rd. It was fun to go to her baby shower but I missed Tori & Andee. Congrats Amanda, you'll be the greatest mom!

M&R Wedding

Image
My cute cousin Mariah got married to Rob Hopkins on April 27th. It was a beautiful day spent with family. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple and I am so proud of her for choosing to get married there. The ceremony was amazing, the luncheon was to die for and it was just an all around great day. She looked beautiful and you could tell Rob felt like the luckiest man alive. So happy for you two! :) Justin & I Grandma Wootton, Chan & Mom Uncle Mark, Aunt Robyn and Uncle Jason Parents of the bride! Isn't she beautiful? Dorky Brady and Jason The beautiful happy couple!

Horse Ride in the Mountains

Image
I had a wonderful time going on a horseback ride with my wonderful in-laws. While Justin was working I decided to take them up on the invite to get a horse back ride in. This is one reason I have loved being married into this family! I love horses, plus I love the mountains and the sunshine so it made it super enjoyable. Carson & Dallin were also able to go and we got to roast some hot dogs around a little fire at the top. It was an amazing day.

Farm

Image
We took some friends up to the farm in Cache Valley yesterday and it was a lot of fun. Tons of baby animals including: puppies, goats, horses, pigs and cows. And they are oh so cute! Chandler brought up the girl he is dating and they sat on the camel, her name is Hayleigh and she is a cute girl. It's always such a fun time and we love spending time there!

Marathon #2

Image
It's been a long journey! One that has brought a huge array of mixed emotions... I ran my 2nd marathon on April 21st. The SLC Marathon. It was a huge accomplishment that took a lot of work, training, sweat, blood and tears! I am so happy to be done, but already craving another race. It was literally the hardest thing... with the hilly route, 80 degree weather, no shade, ugly terrain... I just about died a few times I think.  It started at the U of U and ended at the Gateway mall. It was so great to train with my great friend Leslee . We helped push each other many times and we couldn't have trained so well without the other one. I still remember the day at Taco Bell for lunch in December when we decided we wanted to do a race together.  The training started then and has gone on for the last four months.  Early morning trainings on Wednesdays and Saturdays meant getting up at 3:30 a.m. sometimes.  But we were dedicated and we did it! What marathon should I do next?

Amish

Image
We spent four days in Iowa in a cute little Amish town called Hazelton. We were able to spend time in the homes of these amazingly humble people. They have a way of bringing the spirit and joy into your life! They were interested in you, and not interested in anything electronic. They don't have cell phones, ipads, iphones, lap tops, computers, blue tooths, video games and don't even have electricity. They taught me so much... it was supposed to be a fun trip to the Amish, but what actually happened was a huge humbling and learning experience for me. Something kept popping into my head saying "be in the world, but not of the world."  How many of us spend too much time on the computer, our phone or video games and neglect the things that are most important?  I know I am guilty of this.   They truly live!  They spend time with the ones they love.  They cook together, cry together, play together and love one another.  They make everything from a garden.. which taste

Horse Sale

Image
We had the most incredible week last week. We went to Iowa to a horse sale and to hang out with an Amish family. I am changed forever, and in a good way. I enjoyed it so much!   I'm just going to post a clip of the horse sale and then i'll post pictures of the Amish community and more of the horse sale later. To give you an idea of what the video is.... it's an Amish auctioneer who is auctioning off different horses, this sale goes on for two days.  People come from all over to buy these beautiful broke horses. Stay tuned for some AWESOME pictures from the Amish community and more on the horse sale!
