Health Kick Saturday

Image
Alright, so I decided I am going to share some of the healthy recipes I make on this blog.... This could be a weekly occurance.  Something about Health Kick Saturday just fits :)  We'll see... So this morning after a good workout I decided I needed something really yummy. So I went with no-carb Banana Pancakes and Strawberry Yumminess on top. These are the ingredients you'll need to make the ridiculously easy pancakes.... What you'll need: 1 Banana 1 egg 1/4 t Vanilla 1/8 t Cinnamon 1/2 scoop of protein Put everything in a blender and mix together.. Turn on pan to medium heat, if it's too hot it won't cook correctly, also make sure to spray the pan. Flip and enjoy the finished product! Yum! Strawberry Yumminess: 5 frozen strawberries 1 t water 1t sweetener (i used agave nectar) Put in microwave for 1 minute, mash up and put on top of pancakes. It tastes so so good!

I am so grateful for the Gift of the Holy Ghost.  It's quite incredible to think about!  I love having the constant companionship that helps me so much in my life. I hate when I am not living the best I know I should, or have sinned or feel bad about myself... because I know that the spirit isn't with me. I know that we must be worthy to have and allow him in our lives. What are some of the things we need to do to be worthy to have  the Holy Ghost with us always? 1.  Obey the commandments 2.  Repent 3.  Pray for companionship 4.  Ask in faith 5.  Be teachable 6.  Search the scriptures 7.  Be true to the covenant made at baptism I think it's so great that having the Holy Ghost in our lives allows us to have and receive SO many amazing blessings.  If we could always desire to live righteously and allow him in our lives I know we would all be so much happier. What are some of the blessings that come from the Gift of the Holy Ghost? 1.  He teaches us and brings things to our m

Example.

We all know that Jesus Christ was our perfect example on this earth.  And we know that we all should strive to be more like him and live life as he did..... right? But, do you ever think about the other people who are examples to you in your life, who have shaped you in one way or another, or who have helped you in some way?? Think about that for a minute . To back up a little bit, I have people ask, wonder and I know think it in their minds how I've made it through the hard trials that I've faced in my life.... they tell me I am such a strong and powerful woman.  I am not saying I haven't received strength but it's not just always easy getting over something and feeling whole again.... for anyone.  Have you seen me in my darkest moments?  Have you seen the pain and despair I've gone through in private?  No, probably not.  Most of you see me as an every day, human being living life.  Life hasn't been easy, and I don't think it's suppos

Following the Example

Image
I taught a lesson yesterday in Young Women on Following the Example of Jesus Christ. What does that really mean? Does it mean that in SOME things we follow and can slack off on others?   It's hard to strive every single day to follow that example.  But I do know that I can try harder to not only follow his example...but to be an example, we can probably all do the same. Jesus Christ was: Meek  Humble Resisted Temptation Loved & Served others Faithful Prayerful and much much more.... what can we work on to become more Christlike? In 3 Nephi 27:27 Jesus asks "What manner of men ought ye to be?" Then he answered saying: "Verily I say unto you, even as I am."
