A Special day

Image
We were able to go to the Logan temple on March 20th with Justin's youngest brother, Dallin. He is the baby of the family and it was finally his turn to go do baptisms for the dead. It was such an awesome experience being there with most of the family and getting to do baptisms again... I think it's probably been 7 or 8 years since I've done them! While I was in the temple, I couldn't help but think back on a year and a few months ago when Justin and I were sealed there for time and all eternity.  I am so happy I made that decision and that I have such an amazing husband.  I am truly lucky! I married into such a wonderful family and I couldn't ask for better in-laws. Dallin in front of the Logan Temple The three youngest siblings standing together in front of the Logan Temple

Sea Day

Image
Day 4: The fourth day was a sea day.  Which means we spent all day on the ocean.  We mostly just relaxed, played games, read and ate lots of food.  We also saw a huge family of dolphins off the side of the ship, they were playing and jumping out of the water and it was probably one of the coolest things ever. The guys all seem to love chess.  Jess and I couldn't really understand what was so awesome about it?!  Oh well... they enjoyed themselves. For dinner I decided to get a hamburger because nothing else really sounded that great.  When it came out I was shocked to see how huge it was.  I only ate about a fourth of it! Picture of our group with our waiters on our last night! After dinner we all stayed up until about two in the morning talking and playing games.  It was so fun to chat and make the most of our last night on the ship.  We were sad to be going home the next day but happy to be in our own beds and with our...

Ensenada

Day 3: We made it to the port in Ensenada, Mexico and were excited for a nice warm sunny day in Mexico.  Oh wait... did I say warm??  It was once again so cold and windy which made it worse.  But I would have to say we all still had a great time.  We decided for the excursion to head to the blow hole called "La Bufadora."  There are only three of them in the world that are similar to this one and it was pretty fun to see.  We also decided to go to the flea market and the beach. Our first stop was the flea market, it just had tons of shops and food places of which people are trying to sell you anything and everything.  The best part is to try and make them go lower with the price, it's fun!  The boys loved that part and bought so much stuff.  Justin and i stuck with our magnet, a coconut to drink and a belt.  We were good with that! The next part we went to was La Bufadora.  It was pretty cool to see and the ocean...

Catalina Island

Day 2: Day two the cruise ship was in the port at Catalina Island...  We woke up, had some breakfast and made our way off the ship in some transfer boats. Justin & his brother Kyle were excited for the many adventures we were about to have! As we pulled up to the Island I couldnt believe how gorgeous it was.  There were huge houses all along the side of the Island and cute quaint little shops along the bottom.  Jessica and I were talking about how we need to each have a house built there that we can go to in the summer.  Maybe someday when we're millionaires?  I don't think the picture does the island justice, you kinda have to see it in person. Once we got to the Island we went shopping in the stores and got ready for our excursion....  in the freezing cold.  Literally FREEEEZING. We purchased a snorkeling trip that was more expensive than all the rest of them because it was supposedly supposed to be the best one of all.  The...

Long Beach

Image
As you may have been able to tell I have been MIA in the blog world.   I do actually have some good excuses for that, one being we went on a cruise!  It was so much fun, even though it was chilly most of the time.  I will post the vacation in different sections because I have so many awesome pictures. We were able to take three of our top managers on the cruise which went to Catalina Island and Ensenada Mexico.  My good friend Jessica and her husband Jesse were able to come as well! Day 1: We woke up bright and early, got some last minute packing done and headed to my moms in Bountiful.  She was so awesome to take us to the airport and let us leave our car at her house!  We flew out of SLC Airport at 11:45 and arrived in Long Beach at 12:45.  Justin's brother Wade is on his mission there and we wanted to see him so bad.  Kyle, Justin's other brother who went on the cruise too decided it would be a good idea to go see Wade and ...

Service Learning

Image
For my class at Weber State we were required to as a group do a service learning activity outside of school.  It had to be 12 hours total, we had to do it as a group and we had to pick what we wanted to do.  My group decided to go to a Retirement Community and work with the elderly people.  Let me tell you it was SOOOOO much fun.  I miss it already.  I am seriously going to have to go back and visit.  Some of the things we did with them included games, reading books, talking with them and the best one of all we threw a luau for them!  We had chicken, rice, pineapple, juice, leis, Hawaiian music, we taught them a dance and played games!!  They were in HEAVEN!  They always usually look so sad, but during that luau we had to many smiles and happy faces.  It makes me feel so good to do service, even though this was for school I still learned so much.  We can all probably be a little better at doing acts of service. Health Kick Saturday

Image
I need to post more.  I will definitely try to post more than the "Health Kick Saturdays" I do actually have a lot of cool and interesting things happening daily. I'll be better! Running has become something I absolutely LOVE. It takes me a few months to actually say LOVE and RUNNING in the same sentence. When I say the word RUNNING there are usually a couple curse words in the same sentence. ;) But I have been running quite a bit lately and sometimes all I need is a good motivational quote to keep me going. Thanks to Pinterest, I can find those any time I want! Here are a few I L-O-V-E. I have felt like each one of these.... mostly run grumpy!! :) jk This is how I have felt most of my life, but now I am running and not stopping no matter what! If you ever feel down about working out or getting in a run, just read these quotes and maybe you'll get a burst of motivation.  Because I know that it helps me! So get out there and feel good about...
